Here is this month's featured selection from the
database of my collection of painted miniatures.
I hope you
enjoy viewing it as much as I do. This is another favorite.
To see more of this artist's works, click
here.
Being a true afficionado, I also like to collect statistics, where
known,
such as the miniature's name, painter,
manufacturer, sculptor, history of any awards bestowed upon the painter
for this interpretation of the miniature, when it was originally cast,
subsequently painted by the artist, and other informational minutia.
Some people find that kind of historical background interesting.
Others could care less. If I have such information,
I share it here for those who enjoy that kind of stuff. The
rest of
you can just look at the pretty pictures. :)

It is May, which means several wonderful things, including: summer has at last returned and ReaperCon is coming!
With a tip of the hat in general to all the fine folks at Reaper
Miniatures who bring us a never-ending flow of amazing sculpts and
interpretations year 'round, here's a particularly special nod to Reaper Miniatures' Sophie and her incredible sculptors and painters.
| Bourbon Street Sophie
was the theme and commemorative sculpt for ReaperCon 2006. The
sculpt was only sold during the three days of the May convention,
either at the company's Denton, Texas manufacturing plant, or
through its online store for orders placed during that time frame.
I've seen some amazing interpretations of this enchanting Bob Ridolfi sculpt, and this one created by Jessica Dennis-Rich in June 2006 is definitely one of them. |
